Warehouse Records Associate

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Warehouse Records Associate to participate in our warehouse operations and activities including retrievals, destructions, internal moves, permanent withdrawals and any special projects requested. This is a labor-intensive position that requires heavy lifting up and down ladders as well as a keen eye for details.

Responsibilities:

  • Process all types of daily incoming work orders and rush orders from Client Services; scan item bar-codes and locations
  • Scan all incoming containers, files and tapes each morning to the work order and pallet tag and notify your supervisor of any discrepancies
  • Retrieve files, containers, and tapes on a daily basis
  • Assist in loading and unloading company trucks and vans
  • Ensure regular scanner communication and process steps are completed daily for assigned work orders
  • Responsible for space allocation to maximize warehouse capacity and efficiency
  • Observe safety procedures, including containers/lids replaced and repaired, floors free of debris, and report any safety issues to direct supervisor
  • Perform Back-up Van Driver duties as assigned
  • Responsible for assisting Warehouse Lead with warehouse projects from start-up through implementation (capital expansion, system conversions, corporate initiatives)
  • Responsible for assisting in other departments and/or projects as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in a warehouse/physical atmosphere and/or team-focused environment
  • Must have an acceptable driving record (+ points MVR)
  • Basic computer/hand held scanner skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to follow through until completion in timely fashion are critical for this position (accuracy is critical)
  • Capable of completing basic troubleshooting of analytical problems
  • Work requires nearly continuous walking, standing, overhead reaching and some periodic climbing of ladders and stairs. Materials weighing up to 75+lbs are handled throughout the shift without accommodation
  • Work involves some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
  • Forklift and/or picker certification a plus
  • Successful completion of comprehensive background check/drug testing at time of application and throughout employment
