Shred Truck Driver

Our drivers are the public faces of EnTrust, trusted to transport and handle client confidential materials and engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while taking care of all their document destruction needs.

Every day is different, but you will be expected to:

  • Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information using mobile based shredding equipment
  • Maintains a high level of security when emptying consoles by ensuring all documents are retrieved, bags are placed and the consoles are securely locked
  • Collects boxes/files/containers/bins and return to warehouse for storage and/or shredding
  • Ensures all material to be shredded is secured properly at customer site according to NAID guidelines
  • Services customer locations in a manner that least interrupts the client’s business
  • Handle and respond to all customer problems and inquiries exceeding customer expectations on a regular basis
  • Ensures that truck shredding compartment and cab is cleaned and organized at all times in accordance with company guidelines. Maintain daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Completes all necessary paperwork as required by Standard Operating Procedures and NAID
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Three years overall driving experience (CDL B & DOT Medical card required for shred truck)
  • Acceptable DMV record with positive points
  • Must submit and pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be familiar with the Central Virginia and Newport News area
  • Mechanical aptitude/background preferred. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance
  • Job requires repeated lifting, walking, standing, and manual material handling activities on a daily basis. Able to lift, push, pull, and carry 75+ pounds without accommodation
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
  • Flexibility- hours vary depending on routes. Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED/ Post high school courses a plus
  • Must pass all NAID/customer certification requirements (comprehensive background check)
